FreeVoice Productions was founded in 2008 and its first production was Kemble Elliott’s moving two-hander, “Between Cup and Lip”. This production toured to the National Arts festival and to the Musho festival in Durban. Since then, FreeVoice has created and toured productions around South Africa, to Zimbabwe, Cameroon and Rwanda and to the USA, Jamaica and Europe.

The production company’s mission is to create meaningful, high quality theatre experiences, which gives voice to the unspoken and the inarticulate. The focus is on bringing children and young people into a theatre experience that resonates powerfully for them.
