Kate Liquorish
Kate Liquorish studied a BA in Theatre and Performance at The University of Cape Town, graduating with honours in the degree in 2006.
Since then she has been involved prolifically in Theatre, television and film.
She has appeared in no fewer than 17 theatrical productions in the last 8 years, including: RICHARD III directed by Lara Bye, THE MISER directed by Sylvaine Strike, THE GIRL IN THE YELLOW DRESS directed by Malcolm Purkey and a multitude of productions with THE MECHANICALS, of which she was one of the founding members. She has been nominated for 4 Fleur du Cap awards including 2 nominations (best actress and best solo performance) for MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE in 2013 and best supporting actress for THE MISER, also in 2013.
She has written 3 plays including FOURSIGHT and ONE WOMAN, ONE SHOW which have toured around schools and festivals in South Africa for the last 5 years, both of which have received great critical acclaim.
