El Theatre Productions was registered in 2018 by Letlhogonolo Riba. She is the Director and sole owner of the company. The company focuses on Children’s Theatre productions, and theatre for learners in targeted school grades.

El Theatre Productions initially had three sub-divisions namely; ‘Children’s Theatre on the Move’ – which is a program aimed at producing Children’s Theatre productions to tour around schools and render performances for learners using school’s premises, ‘Educational Theatre on the Move’ – which is a program aimed at producing Edutainment theatre productions to tour around schools and render performances that raise awareness to learners in targeted grades using school’s premises; and ‘Shows on existing platforms’ – which is a program aimed at producing theatre productions across different genres to be presented on existing platforms.

The presence of Covid – 19 gave motivation to the birth of a fourth sub-division named ‘Online Theatre Works’ – which is a program aimed at producing digital theatre productions to be streamed online using online social media platforms.

Since its existence, El Theatre Productions has showcased Children’s Theatre productions on big stages like the South African State Theatre, developmental platforms; school venues, online channels (Online Theatre Works), and it has created employment for qualified performers and designers.
