Amandla Dança Teatro ZA is a musical theatre academy based in Galeshewe, Kimberley that focuses on drama, Poetry , singing, dance and music. Additionally to the artistic programs, we also assist leaners at primary school level with their curriculum, i.e. reading classes after school, in lieu of teachers teaching the Creative Arts subject, we come in and teach the subject and we also assist in life skills education.

Since it’s inception in South Africa the creatives have produced seven musicals boosting more than a hundred and ten cast members consisting of children & youth from around the townships of Kimberley (Emathongeni | BahiAfrica | Big Hole | Umangaliso The Miracle | Umthombo | Mwana Wa Mvula | Nomapondo ). In 2018 they scooped a Standard Bank Silver Ovation Award for Emathongeni & 2019 The Cut Above Standard Bank Ovation Award for UMTHOMBO at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda. In 2018  we received recognition award at National Golden Shield Heritage Awards, an award for Preserving our heritage through the work we do, in the category Cultural Dance. In 2020 they spearheaded the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. Mwana Wa Mvula marks their 6th Musical and will include a professional cast hailing from Kimberley, Northern Cape. Recently ADT was awarded a top award in the continent a Standard Bank Gold Ovation Award at the National Arts Festival for their musical Mwana Wa Mvula.
